MBBS, MS(Surgery), MD (Manchester), FRCS (Gen Surg), FRCSI. Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal Bariatric Surgeon.

Mr Balchandra obtained his master degree in general surgery from Mumbai in India. He then went on to complete his specialty training in Upper gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery. He has also worked at St James University Hospital, Leeds and York District Hospital. Mr Balchandra has held training roles across the globe and several peer-reviews publications which include the British Journal of Surgery.

He has a number of academic awards and distinctions including: Ethicon Prize for Best Research Presentation, Best Resident in Trauma Surgery and he has been nominated for Pfizer Best Thesis Prize.
