Mr Ryan Trickett

Dr Trickett is an extremely approachable, down to earth, friendly and polite person. He is extremely professional in his explanations of what surgery you require, why you require the surgery and how it will be performed. Dr Ryan Trickett is extremely well known as a fantastic surgeon and as a very nice person within the South Wales region and I’m sure further afield too. He has worked hard in his career and deserves the notoriety he has achieved.

I saw Mr Trickett for a second opinion for an ongoing hand issue. A comprehensive history was taken and my hand was examined fully examined. I felt I was listened to with an unbiased opinion. I had a clear explanation of the next steps, including who and what would be done and what to expect after. The steps after that were explained fully and I appreciated that Mr Trickett explained that this might not cure my wrist and hand issue but these options were worth exploring. I felt reassured, having previously been very nervous and I look forward to exploring these options.

The whole experience with Ryan was great. He's lovely and approachable and was willing to adapt as needed to help my journey through a thumb joint replacement. He's also a superb surgeon who managed to successfully fit a joint with minimal space to do so giving me back full movement and use with minimal scarring.
