I recently underwent hernia repair surgery with Mr Phillips in llandough hospital, and I can't recommend him highly enough. He took the time to explain the procedure in detail, answer all of my questions, and completely ease my anxiety. His expertise and warm bedside manner immediately gave me full confidence that I was in great hands. The extent of the surgery needed was slightly more comprehensive than the CT had initially suggested. A second hernia and some defects were repaired at the same time. Thanks to his precision and skill, my recovery has been much quicker and less painful than I had anticipated. The incision is healing beautifully with minimal scarring.

I have had to wait a year for my recent visit. It would be have been helpful if my appointment wasn't cancelled 3 times; and on one occasion with only 1 hour notice. Resulting in me waiting a year for my appointment. When asked, Mr Philips was completely unaware of these cancellations and apologised. Surely Mr Philips should be informed when his patients are not getting the appointments he requested. Apart from the very long and really unacceptable wait, my actual appointment was fine. Mr Philips is excellent, very thorough and very kind

Explanations are exact and in depth when needed Plan is explained where needed & I always feel he remembers my case notes. He was upbeat today explaining i could have another operation which woukd include a reversal of my stoma, repair a hernia and complete an hysterectomy all in one operation. He gave me confidence that this coukd be completed together. Thank you, he's been exceptional throughout my operations, im very grateful

From the time I entered the Endoscopy unit I found all of the staff to be welcoming and helpful. Mr Phillips and the nursing staff explained all the necessary procedures MR Phillips answered all my questions and it was a pleasure to chat with him just prior to the procedure which was completed quickly and efficiently. Nobody enjoys hospital visits however this was on time , I was able to park and I would rate this visit as 10 out of 10. Many thanks Mr Phillips and all of the staff.
