Mr Paul Manning

Mr Paul Manning was appointed a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2004 and is currently its senior Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon.

Mr Manning graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1992 before undertaking his training at Nottingham University Hospitals, Harlow Wood Orthopaedic Hospital and the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary.

Mr Manning is also the Medical Director and Responsible Officer for Circle Health, the UK's largest private hospital group.

He was the Training Programme Director in Orthopaedic Surgery for the East Midlands from 2007-2016 and was selected as Chairman of the British Orthopaedic Associations Training Programme Directors Forum in 2013.

Professionally, he has served for a nine-year period on the Council of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society and has held roles of Chairman of Education and Treasurer. He was awarded the Lipmann Kessel prize of the society in 1997. He is also a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England accredited Clinical Review Panel.

Mr Manning has a keen research interest in arthroscopic shoulder surgery and has a broad experience of research and education into arthroscopic techniques.
