Mr Neil Bateman

Mr. Bateman is a consultant paediatric ENT surgeon with experience in both general paediatric ENT and complex airway problems in children he also has practice in ear reconstruction and surgery to the outer ear. He has a particular interest in intracapsular tonsillectomy and his practice is entirely dedicated to paediatric ENT and he does not see adults. He sees private patients at the BMI Alexandra Hospital and the BMI Thornbury Hospital.

Mr. Bateman earned his primary medical qualification at Nottingham University Medical School and went on to complete his ENT training in Nottingham and Sheffield. During this time, Mr. Bateman found his passion for Paediatric ENT and went on to undertake further paediatric ENT training in Sheffield and Lyon, France.

Upon completion of his training, Mr. Bateman was appointed Consultant in 2003 and has since become a co-director of the Paediatric Emergency Skills Course for Consultants.
