Mr Narayanan Viswanathan

Mr Narayanan Viswanathan is a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He sees private patients at Nuffield Health Ipswich Hospital. Mr Viswanathan has special interests in skin oncology and reconstruction, head and neck cancer reconstruction, and microsurgery. He is the plastic surgery lead within the skin oncology MDT and the head and neck MDT at Ipswich Hospital. Mr Viswanathan has previously served as the service director for plastic surgery and is the current examining faculty for the FRCS Plastic Surgery exams at Norwich. He also participates in the National Selection for Plastic Surgery and is currently supervising an ISTP surgeon within his own plastic surgery department at Norwich Hospital.

Mr Viswanathan gained his medical qualification in 1990 from Calicut University. He went on to become a fellow at St Andrew's Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery where he trained in hand surgery, breast and microsurgery, and burns. Mr Viswanathan then underwent specialist registrar plastic surgery training before becoming a consultant plastic surgeon at Kettering General Hospital. He joined Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in 2013.
