About The Day Clinic
The Day Clinic is an expert-led private medical centre located in Shelford Bottom, Cambridge. It offers rapid access to diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of common health conditions within a modern outpatient setting. Founded by Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Ahid Abood, the clinic brings together specialists across dermatology, plastic surgery, hand surgery, urology and general practice.
The purpose-built facility includes contemporary consulting rooms and two fully equipped operating theatres where minor surgical and day-case procedures are carried out. Services cover comprehensive dermatological care, including assessments, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, curettage, shave excision, punch biopsy and Mohs surgery, alongside plastic surgery procedures such as blepharoplasty, earlobe repair, inverted nipple surgery and reconstruction following skin cancer. The clinic also provides hand surgery for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s contracture and trigger finger, as well as urological services including flexible cystoscopy, vasectomy, circumcision, PSA testing and urine investigations. A private GP service is additionally available for general medical concerns.
Care is delivered by a carefully selected team of experienced clinicians, each bringing specialist expertise to support efficient, evidence-based patient pathways. A consultation for skin tag removal which concluded with an onward referral for laser treatment
Overall, disappointing, as Mr Abood explained that he does not perform ptosis operations. On my initial contact(on your website) I stated that I had a drooping eyelid; the secretary asked for clarification (by email) that it was just the one eye, and made the appointment. This should have been the opportunity to state that this type of surgery was not available, saving us all time and a £150 charge. I feel that this should be avoided in future by telling patients the situation up front, and I would respectfully ask that you reimburse my money. Mr Abood said he would write a referral letter to Mr Woodruff, so I appreciate that, but this could also be done by my optician for no charge.

After initially being devastated following my diagnosis at West Suffolk Hospital and advised that I would t be disfigured as I would need an excision I now feel on to of the world. I cannot praise the clinic and staff enough. The whole experience was professional, friendly, relaxing and pain free. Even during the surgery I felt completely relaxed. It is now only3 days since surgery and today I had the dressing removed. I am so happy with the result. Mr Abood has done a fantastic job reconstructing my nose and I will be forever grateful .

Very professional, Mr Abood and his team are knowledgeable, caring and compassionate.
Excellent, Reception staff helpful, polite and provided coffee during the wait. Mr Abood performed the punch biopsy gave excellent explanation of procedure and gave running commentary throughout and explained the aftercare, and follow up arrangements.
