About The Day Clinic
The Day Clinic is an expert-led private medical centre located in Shelford Bottom, Cambridge. It offers rapid access to diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of common health conditions within a modern outpatient setting. Founded by Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Ahid Abood, the clinic brings together specialists across dermatology, plastic surgery, hand surgery, urology and general practice.
The purpose-built facility includes contemporary consulting rooms and two fully equipped operating theatres where minor surgical and day-case procedures are carried out. Services cover comprehensive dermatological care, including assessments, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, curettage, shave excision, punch biopsy and Mohs surgery, alongside plastic surgery procedures such as blepharoplasty, earlobe repair, inverted nipple surgery and reconstruction following skin cancer. The clinic also provides hand surgery for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s contracture and trigger finger, as well as urological services including flexible cystoscopy, vasectomy, circumcision, PSA testing and urine investigations. A private GP service is additionally available for general medical concerns.
Care is delivered by a carefully selected team of experienced clinicians, each bringing specialist expertise to support efficient, evidence-based patient pathways. The clinic’s design enables consultations, diagnostics and treatment to take place in one setting, ensuring a streamlined and patient-centred experience.

Once I had found the Day Clinic building all was very straightforward - thank you. All the buildings look the same so not easy to find.
Excellent service at The Day Clinic! First from Justine who was very quick to respond to my query about a breast reduction procedure and booked me in for a consultation straight away. Then from Dr. Ahid Abood who was very honest and clear about what I can expect from a breast reduction surgery. I related to his straightforward approach immediately. Both were very accommodating, and their prices are the best I could find in Cambridge for this type of treatment. Looking forward to the actual surgery end of July. I trust the team completely.
I needed to have an excision biopsy procedure on a lesion on my ear, which required the ear tendon to be cut. I was therefore apprehensive, to say the least. I need not have worried. Mr Abood and his nurse Rachel exuded professionalism and care to the degree that the whole episode was a most convivial experience and the excision beautifully performed.
I received an appointment within a week, saw dermotologist and surgeon at the same appointment. Excellent service and followup operation booked for 3 weeks later.
My experience at the Day Clinic was excellent. All the staff were really helpful, friendly, and attentive. There was no waiting time. The facilities were clean. Mr Abood’s clinical consultation was thorough and professional. My experience in theatre was also excellent, and the surgery was performed very professionally. I would highly recommend the Day Clinic and would not hesitate to attend again if needed.
The location is ideal and there was plenty of parking. The clinic was immaculate but not too clinical. It has a relaxed but professional atmosphere. I would highly recommend for Menopause assessment. She was reassuring and dealt with all my issues on the day. 5 star experience!
From the moment you arrive …. the experience is like clockwork …. Everyone is friendly… extremely professional and caring. I have had my veins done and had two mole checks. I would highly recommend The Day Clinic.
