About The Day Clinic
The Day Clinic is an expert-led private medical centre located in Shelford Bottom, Cambridge. It offers rapid access to diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of common health conditions within a modern outpatient setting. Founded by Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Ahid Abood, the clinic brings together specialists across dermatology, plastic surgery, hand surgery, urology and general practice.
The purpose-built facility includes contemporary consulting rooms and two fully equipped operating theatres where minor surgical and day-case procedures are carried out. Services cover comprehensive dermatological care, including assessments, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, curettage, shave excision, punch biopsy and Mohs surgery, alongside plastic surgery procedures such as blepharoplasty, earlobe repair, inverted nipple surgery and reconstruction following skin cancer. The clinic also provides hand surgery for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s contracture and trigger finger, as well as urological services including flexible cystoscopy, vasectomy, circumcision, PSA testing and urine investigations. A private GP service is additionally available for general medical concerns.
Care is delivered by a carefully selected team of experienced clinicians, each bringing specialist expertise to support efficient, evidence-based patient pathways. My visit was to check on a wound. I was dealt with professionally, with care and in a very friendly manner. Great care was taken to examine and to explain. A further check up has been arranged in 2 weeks to reassess and reassure.
A very disappointing experience. I was asked to provide details and photos of my scars before the appointment, so the clinic had enough information to assess whether a consultation would be appropriate at this stage. Despite this, they accepted my booking, only for me to discover during the consultation that it was unnecessary. I believe I should have been informed beforehand that a consultation would not be beneficial at this point, rather than being allowed to attend and pay for an appointment that served no purpose. I feel that my time and money were wasted, and I expected more transparency and professionalism from the clinic.

Mr Abood is wonderful. Explained everything and the procedure was painless. I would recommend this clinic.
I visited the day Clnic last week to have a BCC removed. I could not fault anything, Rachael could not have been more helpful and friendly, Mr Abood was very professional explaining everything pre and post procedure and i wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Clinic. I would definitely use them again.
