About Mr Ahid Abood
Mr. Ahid Abood is a Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon in the NHS and also in Private Practice. He graduated from Cambridge University and subsequently trained extensively in Plastic Surgical techniques throughout the UK and internationally (Australia and USA). He returned to Cambridge to take up an NHS appointment as a Consultant at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge- part of the world renowned Biomedical Campus.
Mr. Abood is the Clinical Lead for Major Trauma at Addenbrooke's, which is the designated Major Trauma Centre to the East of England and is part or the world renowned Biomedical Campus. He is a core member of the skin cancer multidisciplinary team and undertakes the treatment of all forms of skin cancer. Alongside his clinical commitments, he was the clinical lead for audit and governance, helping to oversee the delivery of high quality and safe care to patients.
Mr. Abood is actively involved in teaching medical students at the University of Cambridge, Junior doctors and has ongoing active research commitments. He has published over 30 articles in peer reviewed journals and have been invited to give numerous international presentations.
