Mr Jonathan Nicholls

Jonathan Nicholls is a well-respected Consultant Gynaecologist and Urogynaecologist. He qualified from Westminster Hospital, London in 1985 and a few years later was awarded his MD at Imperial College, London for his research into metabolic disorders. He undertook higher surgical training in order to specialise in the pelvic floor and incontinence and has since become an expert in minimal access (keyhole) surgical techniques to treat incontinence and menstrual disorders. He currently splits his time between NHS practice at the Horton Hospital, Banbury and private practise at the BMI Foscote Hospital, Banbury and The Nuffield Manor Hospital, Oxford.

In 2000, Mr. Nicholls was appointed to the Oxford University Trust where he has developed and leads the pelvic floor and continence service with two other colleagues.

He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and during his higher training was awarded a training fellowship to visit Harvard Medical School. In 2014 he was also awarded the prestigious Bernard Barron Travelling Scholarship by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Mr. Nicholls is also a dedicated teacher and holds a position as Clinical Tutor at the Horton Hospital as well as being recognised as a preceptor in laparoscopic surgery by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist.
