Mr Alex Swanton is praised for his professional, kind, and reassuring manner, making patients feel at ease and listened to. Patients highlight his extensive knowledge, clear explanations of options, and precise surgical skills. Many note quicker recovery times for procedures such as hysterectomy and myomectomy, including successful keyhole techniques, leading to excellent outcomes and significant symptom relief. His expertise covers managing gynaecological conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, and those requiring laparoscopic hysterectomy.
Mr Swanton has been brilliant throughout the whole process and made me feel at ease. Always clearly explaining at every step what is happening but most important thing for me is he would ask me how I am. He is a fantastic consultant surgeon but most of all you really feel like he genuinely cares and is invested in your journey.
I cannot recommend Mr Swanton highly enough. From my very first appointment, he treated me with genuine empathy, compassion, and understanding. He took the time to listen to my concerns, explain my options clearly, and ensured I felt supported and informed throughout my treatment journey. I underwent a hysterectomy under Mr Swanton's care, and it has truly been life-changing. The surgery has had an enormous positive impact on my quality of life, and I am incredibly grateful for his expertise, professionalism, and the outstanding care I received before, during, and after the procedure. I would also like to give special thanks to Emma, his secretary, who was always kind, caring, and incredibly helpful. She was responsive to any questions or concerns I had and provided reassurance and support throughout the process. Her compassion and professionalism made a real difference during what could have been a very stressful time. The level of care I received from both Mr Swanton and Emma was exceptional. I am extremely grateful for everything they have done for me and would wholeheartedly recommend Mr Swanton to anyone seeking gynaecological care. Their expertise, compassion, and dedication to their patients are truly outstanding.
I recently saw Mr Swanton with suspected endometriosis after years of ongoing pain and uncertainty. Since before COVID, I had been back and forth between GPs and hospitals without any clear answers or effective support. From the very first consultation, Mr Swanton truly listened. He fully respected my decision not to pursue hormonal treatment due to previous adverse reactions, which meant a great deal to me. Following a diagnostic laparoscopy, he identified and excised areas of endometriosis. He explained everything clearly and thoroughly, which helped me feel informed and reassured throughout the process. The care I received from Mr Swanton and his team was exceptional at every stage — before, during, and after surgery. My recovery has been smooth, and the results have been life-changing. For the first time in years, I am pain-free. My energy levels have returned, and I no longer feel held back by constant fatigue. I genuinely feel like I have my life back. At my follow-up appointment, Mr Swanton again took the time to explain everything in detail, including the likelihood of recurrence. I feel well-informed and prepared for the future, and I would not hesitate to return to him should I need further treatment. I am incredibly grateful for the care I received and cannot recommend Mr Swanton highly enough.
This is my second surgery with Dr Swanton, he was super clear regarding my options. Was able to operate swiftly, offered clear aftercare support and general recovery was great from his surgery. He was always on hand to answer any questions I might have. I actively recommend him to other endo sufferers.
Mr Swanton provided excellent care and gave me all the necessary information on my treatment options. He was reassuring and made sure I was comfortable thoughout the treatment.
I was treated with care and professionalism by Mr Swanson and all hospital staff involved.
I feel as though I was listened to, shown understanding and not brushed off as I had been with my GP. Options were clear and discussed with compassion and my decision was supported
From start to finish I felt heard, safe and had a lot more knowledge into what was going on with me. I am so pleased Dr Swanton was who I had look after me throughout this process.
