About Mr Jayesh Trivedi

Mr Trivedi has been a consultant spinal surgeon for the last 17 years and has been head of the spinal surgery department at the Robert Jones Agnes Hunt Hospital, Oswestry since 2005. He has also been the head of the Scoliosis and Children''s deformity department at Alder Hey Children''s Hospital, Liverpool since 2009. After completing his orthopaedic residency training in Liverpool and Oswestry he undertook a fellowship at the Connecticut Medical Centre in Hartford Connecticut, USA. His clinical practice includes treatment of a vast variety of spinal disorders including back pain, spinal deformity, disc herniations, spinal stenosis, trauma and tumours. Mr Trivedi is actively involved in undertaking charitable spinal surgery in underprivileged countries. He is also an active member of the British Association of Spine Surgeons, the British Scoliosis Society and regularly participates in the scientific programmes at these societies. He is also a member of the executive committee of the British Scoliosis Society and also on international faculty for many spine scientific programmes. He has used state of art techniques in surgery such as a 3D model of the spine and navigation for insertion of screws in order to enhance patient safety.
