Mr Hemant Singhal

Mr. Hemant Singhal is a Breast Surgeon specialising exclusively in breast disorders including benign breast problems, the treatment of breast cancer and breast reconstructive surgery. Mr. Singhal was Clinical Lead for North West London Hospitals Breast Service and Senior Lecturer at Imperial College till 2010.

He trained in general surgery and surgical oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, and St George's registrar rotation. He was a Fellow in surgical oncology at Strang-Cornell Cancer Center in New York, Cornell University, and a Lecturer in surgical oncology at the University of Western Ontario. His further training was in breast and Reconstructive Surgery in the Cardiff Breast Unit.

He is part of a multidisciplinary team and works to establish a firm diagnosis as well as personalising breast cancer treatment. He is an accomplished and recognised breast specialist who was instrumental in setting up the sentinel node program in North West London. He is passionate about breast conservation with an oncoplastic approach and the early diagnosis of breast cancer.

Mr. Singhal has lectured widely, is the author of a number of scientific papers and chapters on the evaluation and treatment of breast disease. He has been invited to faculty at many international workshops and conferences.

Mr. Singhal sees patients at The Harley Street Breast Clinic, Clementine Churchill Hospital, and Bishopswood Hospital. The clinics have a unique one-stop diagnostic facility that provides the results of mammograms, ultrasounds and needle biopsies in a single visit. The clinics are scheduled throughout the week, and it is often possible to arrange an appointment on the same day.
