I am a consultant laparoscopic UGI & Hepatobiliary surgeon. My current practice covers a wide range of problems, including issues with the oesophagus, stomach, liver, gall bladder, and pancreas. I have a particular interest in anti-reflux surgery (fundoplication), diaphragmatic hernia surgery, and laparoscopic cholecystectomy including bile duct exploration. I also offer diagnostic UGI endoscopy and specialize in laparoscopic management of inguinal, epigastric, umbilical, ventral, and incisional hernia surgery.
I studied medicine in Mumbai, India and qualified as a surgeon in 1994. Following FRCS in 1996, I began training in the UK. In 1999, I joined the Royal Free Hospital Liver Unit to train in hepatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation, and registered for a postgraduate research degree from University College London. I joined the Northeast London surgical training scheme for General Surgery in 2004, and acquired specialist training in UGI and hepatobiliary surgery, working in various liver units in the region including Barts & The London and Royal Free.
Upon completion of my training in 2009, I joined Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge for further specialist training in laparoscopic hepatobiliary surgery . I was awarded the MD (research) degree from University College London for my thesis titled 'Therapeutic Modulation Of Liver Ischaemia Reperfusion Injury'.
I am currently working as consultant UGI, Hepatobiliary & laparoscopic surgeon at Ealing and London Northwest Healthcare Trust. I have been awarded clinical excellence awards in my current job. I have also been appointed as the Surgical Tutor for the trust and Clinical lead for the department of surgery at Ealing site.

I completed my MBBS in 1991 from the University of Mumbai, India and was selected for the Masters Programme (MS) in surgery which I completed in 1994 along with a dissertation titled: “Splenectomy for Haematological disorders.”
Following my surgical training in India, I came to the UK and worked as a Senior Fellow in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and liver transplant surgery at Royal Free Hospital in London, prior to entering the North East Thames Higher Surgical Training Scheme in 2004. I completed my training which included laparoscopic, upper GI and hepatobiliary surgery in 2010. I was awarded the FRCS (General Surgery) and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010.I have also been awarded an MD (Research)in 2010 from the University of London for my Thesis titled "Therapeutic modulation of Liver Ischaemia Reperfusion Injury"
