Mr Douglas McGeorge

Mr. Douglas McGeorge is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with over 30 years of experience in the field. He graduated in 1980 from the Victoria University of Manchester and then underwent extensive training, firstly in general surgery and then in plastic surgery in units around the country and abroad, in South Africa, the United States, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Belgium. He completed his speciality training in plastic surgery in London.

In 1993, Mr. McGeorge started a new cosmetic surgery unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital, leading the unit for a decade before leaving to continue his practice in the private sector. He also developed the breast reconstruction service, introducing immediate breast reconstruction to the region. He is currently an Honorary Consultant at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Douglas offers the full range of aesthetic procedures but he also has a specialist interest in all aspects of breast surgery and combines this with a large practice in facial rejuvenation surgery. He also does research work and has contributed regularly to the medical literature.

Additionally, Douglas is also involved in the teaching of junior surgeons in the Manchester and Mersey regions.
