I went to see Mr Nasralla for an operation to remove my gall bladder following a severe infection, which made my situation somewhat complex. Mr Nasralla was brilliant at talking me through my scan and explaining the options and risks, v precisely and carefully. I felt fully involved in the decision-making. The operation itself went perfectly and I couldn’t have been happier with my overall treatment.

Each time I've met the consultant Is being concise In his full process And has used Clinical reasoning and evidence space practice To Determine the most appropriate way forwards with my care. On my last appointment We discussed whether I required further follow-up Or I would prefer to have an appointment At a later date . This is a patient centred approach leave me with the options to determine what I feel comfortable with . Based options with logical And sensible And shows Excellent overall care.

David Nasralla is an amazing human being he is witty but straight to the point and very reassuring to me today on my face to face meeting with him today.

It has taken me more than a month since my mother’s operation to write this review because finding the words to describe what Mr Nasralla did for my family has been one of the more difficult feats I’ve had to face this year. My mother presented with an asymptomatic cholangiocarcinoma to his clinic for consideration of an operation. Her diagnostic journey was swift and she initially felt very unprepared for the prospect of an operation. Going into the first appointment with Mr Nasralla at the Royal Free on a Friday, she was almost certain that she could not possibly consent to an operation the following Monday. However, walking out of that same appointment, I was overcome with categorical trust in him as a surgeon and doctor unlike I have had for any health professional in charge of a family member’s health. His ability to gracefully navigate sensetive questions in the appointment was highly admirable and his integrity as doctor throughout were singular. I did not have a single doubt about proceeding to the operation from then on, and neither did my mom. His skills as a surgeon are evidenced by my mother’s complete resection and wide negative margins on biopsy. He found a small window of time and in it, he performed a miracle that my family cannot repay. Mr Nasralla’s one singular differentiating quality is his integrity. He never promised to deliver miracles even though what he has done for my mother feels like one, and I always felt like we were proceeding with my mother’s care on a shared agenda that always prioritised her health and wellbeing.
