Mr Ben Rudge

Mr Rudge is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in Foot and ankle surgery in both adults and children. He is part of the Orthopaedic trauma on-call team looking after patients with injuries related to all aspects of general trauma, not limited to the foot and ankle. He is also trained in minimally invasive surgery and uses these techniques whenever appropriate. He works alongside Orthotics and Physiotherapists to offer a multidisciplinary approach to the conservative treatment of foot and ankle conditions. Mr Rudge treats all aspects of foot and Ankle problems in adults and children. this includes sport injuries, arthiritis, bunions, flat feet, hammer toes and tendinopathies. He has a particular interest in the treatment of Heel pain (plantar fasciitis and achilles problems) and uses minimally invasive surgical techniques when possible. Mr Rudge regularly lectures in Orthopaedics on course locally and nationally, including the orthopaedic master courses run at both the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the University of Dundee.
