Professor Benedict Rogers is a Consultant in Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgery, offering his expertise in Surrey and Sussex, with a focus on hip and knee surgery, sports injuries, and trauma. His academic journey is impressive, having graduated from prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford (Christ Church), St George’s Hospital Medical School (University of London), UCL, University of Portsmouth, and the University of Toronto. In 2017, he was awarded a PhD for his thesis titled "Optimising the Outcomes of Hip and Knee Replacements."
Professor Rogers completed two highly regarded fellowships at the University of Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, training under esteemed surgeons like Professor Allan Gross, Professor Hans Kreder, Professor Marvin Tile, and Dr. Joseph Schatzker. He was honoured with the prestigious Zane Cohen Fellowship Achievement Award, marking the first time it was awarded to an orthopaedic surgeon.
Beyond his clinical work, Professor Rogers actively collaborates on research with various university departments and orthopaedic companies. He serves as a reviewer for both the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery (British) and JBJS American. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
