Mr Thiyagarajah Selvan

Mr Thiyagarajah Selvan is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder surgery. He completed his primary medical training at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 1979 before undertaking further specialist surgical training in Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1985. He went on to complete a master’s degree in orthopaedic surgery at the University of London in 1988 and achieved his FRCS (Orth) in Edinburgh in 1990.

Mr Selvan has extensive expertise across the full spectrum of shoulder conditions, managing both soft tissue disorders and more complex problems such as frozen shoulder. He offers a wide range of surgical treatments including arthroscopy, subacromial decompression, arthroscopic tendon repair, anterior stabilisation, total shoulder replacement, acromioclavicular joint reconstruction, and clavicle fracture fixation. He also has experience in elbow arthroscopy.
