Mr Akinyede Ojo

Mr Akinyede Ojo is a renowned Consultant General and Breast Surgeon based at Spire London East Hospital and Spire Hartswood Hospital under the Barking Redbridge and Havering NHS Trust. Holding over two decades of experience, Mr Ojo specialises in oncologic surgical procedures such mastectomy and reconstruction; sentinel node biopsy and breast conservation surgery.

Mr Ojo works under the One Stop Breast Service at both Spire London East and Spire Hartswood, within a team of Oncology specialists including breast cancer nurses and consultant radiologists, working together to provide the highest standard of treatment and care possible. He also has experience in performing surgery of the lower gastrointestinal tract, endocrine system, thyroid and gallbladder.

Mr Ojo is well accomplished in the field and takes time to hold seminars for Breast Cancer Awareness and Developments in Management of breast cancer for General Practitioners to work towards the improvement of breast cancer patient outcomes. He previously held the chair of East London Breast cancer tumour board and also is a past Breast Units peer reviewer.
