Mr Milan Thomas

Mr Milan Thomas is an experienced urological surgeon who serves as the Lead Clinician for the Department of Urology at East Kent NHS Trust. Within the NHS, he runs a diagnostic clinic for blood in the urine (haematuria) and male lower urinary tract symptoms. As a robotic surgery expert for kidney cancer, Mr Thomas undertakes more complex kidney surgeries than any other surgeon in Kent. He practices privately at The Chaucer Hospital and co-founded the Men's Health Hub, which is available at the hospital.

Mr Thomas graduated with his MBBS from the University College London Medical School in 2004 after initially completing a degree in cancer biology in 2001. He went on to train around the London area before completing higher urology training in the North West Training Deanery. He become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007 and later achieved his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2013.

Mr Thomas has a passion for teaching and is an educational supervisor for urology surgical trainees in the KSS Deanery. He has also won a Trust Award for Recognition of Training at East Kent Hospitals. During his career, Mr Thomas has presented at a number of international conferences and has had his work published in journals. He has also co-authored a book chapter on kidney cancer surgery.
