Dr Mary Barraclough

Dr Mary Barraclough is a highly respected Consultant Paediatrician who has dedicated her career to the care and well-being of children. Specialising in Paediatrics, she serves as a Clinical Lead and Respiratory Specialist, providing expert care for young patients with complex breathing and lung conditions. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Barraclough holds a vital role as a Designated Paediatrician for Deaths in Childhood, where she leads multi-agency child death review processes with deep compassion, integrity, and clinical excellence.

Throughout her career, Dr Barraclough has been a passionate advocate for child safety, accident prevention, and safeguarding. She works closely with community partnerships to promote safer sleep practices and educate parents and carers on child injury prevention.
