I found Mr Kostalas both professional and personable throughout - from first referral, additional testing , diagnosis , options and finally surgery . He took time to explain & ensure I understood the information fully . The surgical procedure went very well - as did my post operative recovery . I was particularly impressed and reassured by the contact maintained by Mr Kostalas during the 6 week post operative period .

Very friendly and supportive. Clearly explained procedure risks and benefits. I always felt that Mr. Kostalas had time to support patients with queries.

Mr Kostalis was a very good communicator, eg he did not use his computer whilst talking to me just when checking information. He used eye contact and had a non patrinising smile. He was genuine. Even when busy, he appeared to give me time. He asked me pertinent questions and gave explanations which I easily understood. He listened to me and understood how I was feeling. As a surgeon, he knew in detail about my problem and apart from a positive outcome post op, he has given me confidence with regards to contacting him if i have any problems. He is approachable and also treated the other staff in the room with us eg the nurse, with respect.
