Dr Luke Wheldon is a highly dedicated Consultant General Surgeon who provides expert elective and emergency surgical care. Specialising in General Surgery with a focus on colorectal conditions, he is committed to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care. Dr Wheldon works collaboratively within multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure that every patient receives a tailored treatment plan aligned with their clinical needs, placing clear communication and compassionate support at the forefront of his practice.

In his daily clinical practice, Dr Wheldon manages a wide range of general and gastrointestinal surgical conditions. His primary clinical interests include laparoscopic colorectal surgery, diagnostic and therapeutic digestive system endoscopy, benign colorectal diseases, and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. Dr Wheldon completed his primary medical qualification, earning his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree. He went on to undertake higher specialist surgical training alongside postgraduate research towards a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at the University of Sheffield, focusing on key developments in general, emergency, and colorectal surgery.
