Dr Lisa Clayton

Dr Lisa Clayton is a compassionate and highly skilled Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive clinical care for patients presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions. Understanding that living with a neurological disorder can be challenging, Dr Clayton takes a thorough, objective, and reassuring approach to clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and long-term condition management. She works collaboratively with patients to ensure each individual receives a personalised care plan designed to optimise their health and overall quality of life.

Her primary clinical focus lies in the field of adult epilepsy, with dedicated expertise in rare genetic epilepsies, monogenic epilepsies, and developmental encephalopathies such as Dravet syndrome. Dr Clayton is particularly interested in identifying and treating complex comorbidities associated with seizure disorders, including autonomic dysfunction and dysautonomia. To support precise clinical evaluation and monitoring, she incorporates diagnostic modalities such as electroencephalography interpretation and optical coherence tomography to analyse visual pathway integrity and structural changes related to neurological treatments.

Dr Clayton holds a distinguished academic and professional background, having earned her Member of the Royal College of Physicians qualification.
