Dr Lekshmy Prasad

Dr Lekshmy Prasad is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who provides expert care for infants, children, and young people. With a compassionate and holistic approach to child health, Dr Prasad evaluates and manages a wide range of acute and chronic paediatric conditions. She works closely with families to deliver personalised, high-quality care that supports each child's physical development and overall well-being.

Dr Prasad completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Kerala in 2007. Moving to the United Kingdom to pursue postgraduate studies, she earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Child Health from the University of Leeds in 2017. She subsequently completed comprehensive specialty training in Paediatrics across Wales and Yorkshire, attaining her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2021.

Alongside her core expertise in General Paediatrics, Dr Prasad has a clinical focus on Paediatric Cardiology. Her areas of interest include the clinical evaluation of heart murmurs, the interpretation of paediatric electrocardiograms (ECGs), and the early assessment of paediatric cardiac conditions. Through objective clinical practice and clear communication, Dr Prasad ensures that parents and carers feel fully informed and supported throughout their child's medical care.
