Dr Laszlo Sztriha

Dr Laszlo Sztriha is an experienced Consultant Neurologist and Stroke Physician dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of neurological and cerebrovascular conditions. Specialising in general neurology alongside acute and sub-acute stroke care, he works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate diagnosis, prompt intervention, and personalised recovery plans. His clinical practice focuses on empowering patients and their families with clear guidance, evidence-based treatments, and compassionate support throughout their care journey.

Dr Sztriha completed his medical degree before undertaking specialised postgraduate training in stroke medicine and general neurology. He went on to earn a PhD focused on stroke prevention and the modern management of carotid stenosis, followed by a postdoctoral research fellowship investigating brain imaging markers of stroke recovery. Demonstrating a strong commitment to education and professional development in the field, he has held leadership and executive positions within key international professional bodies, including the European Association of Young Neurologists and Trainees.

In his clinical practice, Dr Sztriha maintains broad expertise across complex neurological conditions, with a primary focus on cerebrovascular diseases, acute stroke care, and secondary prevention. His areas of clinical interest include hyperacute stroke management, thrombolysis, mechanical thrombectomy pathways, carotid artery disease, cerebral haemorrhage, and embolic stroke of unknown source. As a dedicated Researcher and Principal Investigator for major clinical trials, Dr Sztriha actively contributes to advancing treatments and improving functional outcomes for patients affected by neurological disorders.
