Dr Kathryn Harrison

Dr Kathryn Harrison is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist who specialises in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex inflammatory and musculoskeletal conditions in infants, children, and young people. Driven by a compassionate and patient-focused approach, she works closely with young patients and their families to deliver reassuring, evidence-based care tailored to each child's individual needs. Her practice spans both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring continuous, coordinated care from initial presentation through long-term condition management.

Dr Harrison possesses extensive expertise across a broad range of paediatric rheumatological conditions. Her clinical interests include juvenile idiopathic arthritis, juvenile dermatomyositis, systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, and paediatric inflammatory multi-system syndromes. She is skilled in delivering specific therapeutic procedures, such as intra-articular joint injections performed under local or general anaesthetic. Additionally, Dr Harrison is deeply committed to adolescent health, participating in specialist transition clinics designed to support young people as they move seamlessly from paediatric care to adult health services.
