Dr Katherine Cooper

Dr Katherine Cooper is a Consultant Paediatric Oncologist and Paediatrician specialising in the diagnosis, care, and treatment of children and young people with cancer. With expertise in managing both solid tumours and brain tumours, she provides comprehensive medical care tailored to the individual needs of young patients and their families. Her approach blends advanced clinical knowledge with empathetic communication, ensuring that families feel supported throughout every stage of diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care.

Her clinical practice encompasses a wide range of paediatric oncology services, including the management of complex childhood cancers, medulloblastoma, and haematological malignancies. Dr Cooper actively participates in clinical research and clinical trials to evaluate novel treatments, high-dose myeloablative chemotherapy, and stem cell transplantation protocols. She works closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to deliver evidence-based care and optimise long-term health and developmental outcomes for paediatric patients.

Dr Cooper holds full Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH). She completed her medical education and postgraduate specialist training in paediatrics and paediatric oncology, developing extensive expertise in managing complex childhood conditions.
