Dr Katharine Edey

Dr Katharine Edey is an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist. Dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based care, Dr Edey supports women across a comprehensive range of obstetric and gynaecological needs. Her clinical practice encompasses both general gynaecological health and complex pelvic oncology, with a clear focus on delivering tailored, patient-centred care that addresses each patient's individual health concerns.

Her areas of clinical interest include the diagnosis and surgical management of gynaecological malignancies, including ovarian, cervical, endometrial, and vulval cancers. Dr Edey also provides specialised care for benign gynaecological conditions, vulval pathology, and menopausal symptom management following cancer therapies. In addition to her clinical commitments, Dr Edey is actively involved in clinical research, exploring innovative methods for early cancer detection during pregnancy and advancing standard healthcare practices to improve patient outcomes.

Dr Edey completed her primary medical qualification before undertaking extensive postgraduate training in women's health, achieving subspecialty accreditation in Gynaecological Oncology.
