Mr Mohamed Elnasharty is Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. Mr Elnasharty's private practice is based at Nuffield Health Cardiff Bay Hospital. He has expertise in the management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence as well as vast experience in managing general gynaecological conditions including heavy bleeding, menstrual cycle disorders, pelvic pain, contraception, sterilisation, and endometriosis.

He has special interests in the following areas:

• urogynaecology (pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence)
• Minimal access surgery including diagnosis and management of pelvic pain, endometriosis, ovarian cysts and sterilisation
• Management of benign gynaecological conditions including heavy vaginal bleeding, menstrual irregularities, premenstrual disorders and menopause

He offers his patients the following treatments:

• Hysteroscopy
• Hysterectomy
• Cystoscopy
• Vaginal Prolapse Surgery
• Ovarian cystectomy

Mr Elnasharty obtained his medical degree from Cairo University in 2005 before undertaking specialty training which he completed in 2010. He then trained in urogynaecology, vaginal surgery, and bladder and pelvic floor health before undertaking an MD in obstetrics and gynaecology in 2016. He also holds a European diploma in minimal access surgery.

He has an interest in research and has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals.

In his spare time, Mr Elnasharty enjoys swimming. He speaks both Arabic and English.
