Mr Kai Leong

Mr Kai Leong is a highly esteemed General and Colorectal Surgeon. They are recognised for their expertise in a range of procedures, including hernia repair, colonoscopy, and the treatment of haemorrhoids and colorectal cancer. Mr Leong is particularly interested in minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, and is dedicated to providing patients with the most advanced and effective treatment options available.

Mr Leong graduated with a BMBS and an intercalated BMedSci from the University of Nottingham. They completed their basic surgical training in Hull, Wolverhampton, and Stoke, before undertaking higher specialist training in the West Midlands. During this time, they gained experience at various hospitals, including Russell's Hall Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, and Worcester Royal Infirmary. Mr Leong also dedicated time to formal research, focusing on risk stratification in early rectal cancer, which earned them a prestigious Medical Research Council clinician scientist award.
