Mr Henry Ferguson

Mr. Henry Ferguson is Clinical Director of the Department of General Surgery at Warwick Hospital. He is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with a specialisation in minimally invasive (‘keyhole’) surgery, including both laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He graduated with honours from Cardiff University and completed his surgical training in the West Midlands. Mr. Ferguson further advanced his expertise by obtaining an MD by Research from Birmingham University, focusing on vaccine treatments for colorectal cancer, and undertook a visiting surgical fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada.

His NHS practice is based at Warwick Hospital, where he routinely performs major bowel surgeries for conditions such as cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. He also regularly assess and operates on children with general surgical issues such as hernias or undescended testicles. Mr. Ferguson is also highly skilled in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with a reputation for achieving excellent patient comfort and satisfaction scores.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Ferguson served as President of the Dukes' Club, the National Trainee Association for Colorectal Surgery. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and is an expert article reviewer for several leading surgical journals, including the British Journal of Surgery and The Journal of Robotic Surgery.
