Ms Jen Pichierri

Ms. Jen Pichierri is a dedicated Diabetes Nurse Specialist with a strong focus on providing care to children and young adults dealing with diabetes. She has an extensive background in paediatric nursing and over a decade of experience as a children's diabetes nurse.

Ms. Pichierri's professional experience began as a registered Sick Children's Nurse, where she gained diverse experience, including overseas work with various aid agencies. Her passion for paediatric nursing led her to specialise in diabetes care for children and young adults.

Before joining the London Diabetes Centre, Ms. Pichierri contributed her expertise to the Child and Adolescent Diabetes Service at University College Hospital London. Her role as a Diabetes Nurse Specialist involves offering advice, support, information, and education to children, young adults, and their families or caregivers.

Ms. Pichierri plays a vital role in teaching patients and their families, as well as school staff, about diabetes management. She also assists in initiating insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor therapy, evaluating treatment options, optimising diabetes care, and reviewing blood glucose levels and sensor data. Her primary objective is to promote and facilitate self-management, empowering her patients to become the best versions of themselves.
