Dr Jemima Sharp

Dr Jemima Sharp is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who provides compassionate and comprehensive medical care for children and young people. Known for her patient-centred approach, Dr Sharp combines evidence-based medicine with individualised treatment strategies to address a broad spectrum of acute and chronic childhood conditions. She prioritises clear, open communication, ensuring that young patients and their families feel supported, informed, and confident throughout every stage of care.

While managing all aspects of General Paediatrics, Dr Sharp possesses a special clinical interest in paediatric gastroenterology, particularly the diagnosis and long-term management of Coeliac Disease and other digestive conditions. Her clinical focus also extends to high-dependency care, acute paediatric emergency liaison, and neonatal management. Working alongside multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, she aims to deliver high-quality, holistic care that promotes long-term health and well-being in children.

Dr Sharp undertook her undergraduate medical education at St Bart's and The Royal London Medical School, qualifying in 2002. She commenced specialist Paediatric training in 2003 and achieved Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2005. Appointed as a Consultant Paediatrician in 2013, Dr Sharp also actively contributes to medical education as an Associate Dean and Communication Skills Tutor, while leading initiatives in clinical governance, audit, and patient safety.
