Mr Jean-Yves Mougou

Mr Jean-Yves Mougou is a dedicated Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal and spinal conditions. Focusing on orthopaedic trauma and lower limb pathology, he provides individualised clinical care tailored to each patient's lifestyle and functional requirements. His professional and empathetic approach ensures patients receive clear explanations and evidence-based guidance regarding their treatment options.

In his clinical practice, Mr Mougou demonstrates expertise across a range of joint preservation and reconstructive procedures. His primary areas of interest include lower limb surgical interventions, particularly hip joint replacement and knee joint replacement, utilising advanced navigation systems to optimise surgical precision. Furthermore, he performs arthroscopic joint procedures, therapeutic musculoskeletal injections, and accredited medicolegal evaluations for complex orthopaedic cases.

Mr Mougou earned his medical qualification from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Crete in 2002. He subsequently completed specialist postgraduate training in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the University of Szeged, followed by dedicated fellowship training in lower limb reconstruction. He was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011 and attained formal certification as an Orthopaedic Medicolegal Expert via Medco in 2017.
