Mr Aravind Desai

Mr. Aravind Desai is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon currently working at the private practice St Hugh's Hospital, Grimsby, The Lincoln Private Hospital and Ramsay Park Hill Hospital.

Mr. Desai completed the world-renowned upper limb fellowship from Wrightington Hospital, which is a centre of excellence. Through his training and experience, Mr. Desai has an excellent approach to the management of complex orthopaedic procedures, including arthroplasty of the elbow and shoulder, and also soft tissue arthroplasty. His area of special interest includes sports injuries of the shoulder and elbow and treating conditions such as rotator cuff tears, joint replacements due to trauma, instability, and impingement, all performed by keyhole surgery.

Mr. Desai was the first to earn his Master's degree in trauma and Orthopaedics at Edgehill University and later went on to complete higher surgical training in the prestigious Northern Deanery Training Programme in Newcastle, which is when he developed a special interest in shoulder and elbow. Since his Consultant appointment, Mr. Desai has been pivotal in the establishment of improved patient pathways for shoulder and elbow treatment, including day case surgery, awake surgery, and enhanced recovery. Mr. Desai is also an active member of the scientific research community, and has authored many publications in renowned orthopaedic journals, and also presented his research at national and international conferences.
