Dr Hannah Pool is a dedicated Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and Paediatrician who specialises in providing comprehensive care for infants, children, and young people experiencing acute medical conditions. With a compassionate and reassuring approach, Dr Pool manages a broad range of urgent clinical presentations, ranging from acute childhood illnesses to traumatic injuries requiring immediate evaluation and intervention.

Her clinical practice encompasses key areas of acute emergency care, pre-hospital paediatric medicine, and procedural pain management, including the safe administration of effective analgesia for young patients undergoing acute procedures. Dr Pool possesses a strong clinical interest in supporting children with complex needs, particularly those with neurodevelopmental conditions such as cerebral palsy and those who rely on gastrostomy feeding. She prioritises clear, empathetic communication with parents and carers to ensure families feel fully informed and supported during high-pressure emergency situations.

Dr Pool completed postgraduate Master's degree research focusing on the support requirements of parents caring for children with cerebral palsy and gastrostomy feeding needs. Deeply committed to clinical teaching and the development of future healthcare professionals, she contributes actively to medical education as a Regional Lead for the Paediatric Educators Special Interest Group.
