Dr Gillian Fowler

Dr Gillian Fowler is a highly qualified Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who specialises in pelvic floor health and urogynaecology. She provides patient-centred care for women experiencing a broad spectrum of gynaecological conditions and pelvic floor disorders. Dr Fowler is committed to delivering individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, employing evidence-based practices to support patient wellbeing and enhance quality of life.

Her primary clinical interests focus on urogynaecology, pelvic floor reconstruction, and the management of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Dr Fowler possesses clinical expertise in evaluating and treating childbirth-related perineal trauma, including obstetric anal sphincter injuries. She regularly performs diagnostic procedures such as urodynamic testing and endoanal ultrasound investigations to ensure precise assessment and tailored management strategies for complex pelvic floor concerns.

Dr Fowler earned her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Glasgow in 1998. Following her initial medical training, she completed specialist postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology alongside accredited subspecialty training in urogynaecology. She also completed a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) research degree evaluating ultrasound diagnosis of childbirth-related anal sphincter injuries and is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
