Mr Brett A Winter-Roach

Mr Brett Winter-Roach is a gynaecologist, colposcopist and gynaecological oncologist. He has extensive experience in the full range of gynaecological oncology-related concerns and specialises in endometrial, ovarian, cervical, and vulval cancer therapy. He also has interests in ovarian cysts (including dermoid cysts), endometriomas, other benign cysts, borderline ovarian tumours, and ovarian cancer.

Other areas of expertise include:

• Colposcopy - to diagnose and treat cervical abnormalities and abnormal cervical smears.
• Menstrual issues - such as heavy or painful periods, irregular or missing periods
• Diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis
• Diagnostic laparoscopy, laparoscopic ovarian surgery, and laparoscopic hysterectomy

Mr Winter-Roach's NHS base is at the Christie NHS Trust, and he is a member of the Manchester Gynaecological Oncology Multi-Disciplinary Team. He is also involved in ovarian cancer research.

Mr Winter-Roach is a board-certified general gynaecologist and gynae-oncology specialist. He gained his MBBS from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and is a member of a number of professional bodies, including the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, the British Gynaecological Cancer Society, and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He is also a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh).
