Dr Gemma Brierley

Dr Gemma Brierley is a highly dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Specialising in benign gynaecology and early pregnancy care, she supports women through a wide range of reproductive health concerns. Dr Brierley is known for her reassuring and professional approach, ensuring that every patient feels heard, supported, and fully informed throughout their treatment journey.

Her clinical expertise spans a broad spectrum of gynaecological conditions, with a particular focus on menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts. As the lead Consultant for early pregnancy assessment, Dr Brierley is highly experienced in managing complications in early pregnancy, including pain, bleeding, recurrent miscarriage, and ectopic pregnancies. She is also skilled in performing advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgeries and minimally invasive procedures, such as diagnostic hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, and laparoscopic hysterectomies, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes with minimal recovery times.

Dr Brierley holds an MBBS and a BA (Hons), alongside a Diplomate of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH). She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG). In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively involved in clinical governance and quality improvement, serving as a Governance Lead to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and care.
