Dr Gaurav Malhotra

Dr. Gaurav Malhotra is a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes based at Basildon University Hospital MSE NHS Foundation Trust. He has a diverse skill set, including expertise in Diabetes management, managing endocrinology conditions, undertaking clinical research and teaching medical students and junior doctors.

Dr Malhotra completed his MBBS at Grant Medical College in Mumbai in 2004. He obtained the DNB (Diplomate National Board) in General Medicine from India between 2008 and 2011. Following this, he completed the exams to gain membership to the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) in 2014, and a postgraduate Diploma in Endocrinology & Diabetes from Queen Mary University of London in 2016. In 2018, he was awarded the Specialty Certificate in Endocrinology & Diabetes (UK) from the Royal College of Physicians, UK and gained the entry into the GMC specialist register for Endocrinology & Diabetes in 2023.

Dr. Malhotra specialises in the management of Diabetes and Endocrine (hormonal) disorders. He has a particular interest in treating conditions related to the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands, including disorders such as Graves' disease and Primary Hyperparathyroidism.

He is a member of the Society for Endocrinology and Diabetes UK. Dr. Malhotra emphasises a holistic, patient-centred approach to care, and focuses on ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout treatment plans.
