Dr Chuah gained her primary medical qualification from the University of Aberdeen, after which she undertook her basic training in Glasgow and also London for her diabetes and endocrinology training. During this training, she developed a keen interest in clinical interest in obesity management and undertook further obesity training at Imperial Weight Centre, Charing Cross Hospital. Dr Chuah went on to gain further academic study, including her MSc in Diabetes and Endocrinology from Kings College London, and her MD in Obseity research at Imperial College London.
