Dr Fulya Mehta is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatric Diabetologist who is committed to delivering exceptional medical care for children and young people. Operating with a compassionate and family-focused ethos, she supports young patients and their families through every step of diagnosis, management, and ongoing treatment. Dr Mehta takes a holistic approach to child health, ensuring that care plans are tailored to meet the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of each individual.

Dr Mehta earned her primary medical qualifications with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) and subsequently achieved membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH). Alongside her daily clinical practice, she maintains a strong commitment to medical education and clinical research, continuously striving to advance the quality of care and outcomes within the field of paediatric medicine.

Her primary areas of clinical interest lie in paediatric diabetes and general paediatrics, managing conditions such as Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes in children and young adults. Dr Mehta possesses extensive expertise in the implementation of advanced diabetes technology, including continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy. She is also a recognised leader in transitional care, supporting young patients as they move from paediatric to adult healthcare services, and serves as a National Specialty Advisor to help drive high standards of care across national health programmes.
