What was impressive in the consultation was the time and care in simple language taking me through the "problem" and the solution, and the potential (even if minimal) risks; and in checking that I really did understand what would be involved in the procedure. I therefore left confident in proceeding; and his follow up letter for my GP and insurers set out in detail the full extent of our discussion.

March 26, 2024 My family members and I must express our most sincere appreciation for the extraordinary effort and timely call Dr Di Maggio had made in December 2023 to save my daughter's life. She was attacked by streptococcal and suffered from Necrotising Fasciitis which has a fatality rate of 40% globally. It was an extremely tough decision and a heavy burden for the responsible doctor to act swiftly! After the Croydon Intensive Treatment Unit (or ICU) doctors and nurses meticulously cared for and brought my daughter out from a week's coma; throughout the ensuing two months, Dr Di Maggio was vigilant for my daughter's recovery; apart from overseeing her 20 operations to change her wound Vac under anaesthesia at the Day Surgery unit, he and his core consultants often stopped by to check on my daughter's condition even after a long day of surgery duty. We are most grateful for their empathy and devotion! My daughter is recovering well, and she is able to slowly resume her normal life. As my daughter said: "I was so unlucky to have been hit by the Invasive Strap A bacteria, but I have been so fortunate and privileged to have met Dr. Di Maggio and to have received his medical treatment and care.
