Mr Fabio Nicoli

Mr. Fabio Nicoli is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a strong background in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’ in 2007 and completed his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery under Prof. Cervelli at the same university. Mr. Nicoli has trained extensively around the world, gaining world-class experience in Italy (Rome and Milan), Spain (Valencia and Barcelona), India (Chennai and Coimbatore), and the USA (Seattle and Rochester). He has also completed three prestigious microsurgical fellowships at China Medical University Hospital in Taiwan, Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, and the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle upon Tyne.

In addition to his clinical training, he earned a PhD in Surgical Technologies with European Certification from the University of Rome ‘Tor Vergata’. Mr. Nicoli has worked as a consultant in Saudi Arabia and in the UK at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He currently practices as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Northumbria NHS Trust and also works as a Researcher and Lecturer at Newcastle University.

Mr. Nicoli is passionate about innovation and is always at the forefront of new techniques, materials, and technologies that improve patient care. His clinical work is mainly focused on reconstructive surgery in oncology and post-trauma settings. His research explores clinical outcomes after breast surgery, scar treatment, reperfusion injury, lymphatic surgery, laser therapy, robotic surgery, and regenerative medicine. He serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Surgery and several other surgical journals, has published over 120 peer-reviewed papers, and frequently presents at national and international conferences.
