Mr Kieran Atkinson

Mr Atkinson is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon based in Newcastle upon Tyne. He holds a substantive consultant position at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, one of the largest departments in the UK, where he provides comprehensive plastic and reconstructive surgical care. He has also practised privately in Newcastle and Manchester since 2023, delivering both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic treatments alongside his NHS practice.

His clinical training has been primarily undertaken in the North East, having completed eight years of specialty training in plastic surgery in the region. He has completed additional highly regarded subspecialty fellowships, most notably the Niall Kirkpatrick BAAPS & BAPRAS Aesthetic Fellowship, a highly sought after and competitive fellowship purely focussed on advanced aesthetic surgery.

He has presented his work at numerous national and international meetings and continues to contribute to the advancement of the specialty.

Mr Atkinson has a strong commitment to education and training. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education and is regularly invited to teach on regional, national and international plastic surgery courses, helping the next generation of surgeons benefit from the high standard of training he received. 

His practice encompasses a broad range of reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. He is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.
