Dr Evangeline Wassmer

Dr Evangeline Wassmer is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist specialising in the care of infants, children, and young people with complex neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions. Working within tertiary paediatric care, she provides expert diagnostic evaluations, evidence-based treatments, and ongoing management for young patients facing intricate medical challenges. Dr Wassmer is committed to a compassionate, family-centred approach, ensuring families are fully supported and informed through every stage of assessment, intervention, and long-term condition management.

Her primary areas of clinical focus include paediatric neuro-immunology and neurometabolic medicine. Dr Wassmer possesses dedicated expertise in diagnosing and managing childhood demyelinating disorders, such as paediatric-onset multiple sclerosis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, transverse myelitis, optic neuritis, and MOG-antibody-associated disease. She also treats children affected by auto-immune encephalitis, opsoclonus-myoclonus-ataxia syndrome, inherited white matter diseases, and complex developmental delay.
