Dr. Manish Gupta

Dr. Manish Gupta is a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in paediatric renal medicine. He currently practices within the NHS at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust and also provides private consultations at The Vesey Healthcare, Sutton Coldfield in Birmingham.

Dr. Gupta obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS) degree in 1997. His paediatric journey started with an award of MD degree in paediatrics from Bombay University, India  in 2001. After initial training in paediatrics  he went on to gain further paediatric training in NHS and became a member of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2007. He completed his training with an award of CCT in 2013. Since then Dr Gupta is working as a consultant in NHS.

During his  25 years in paediatric Dr Gupta has gained vast experience in assessment, diagnosis, and long-term management of childhood medical conditions . His clinical work includes the care of newborn & infants, children, and adolescents, with particular focus on renal and urinary tract disorders.

In his NHS role, Dr. Gupta is involved in both inpatient and outpatient paediatric services, contributing to multidisciplinary care and continuity of treatment. His practice in paediatric renal medicine includes the evaluation and management of kidney related conditions, bladder issues, urinary incontinence, enuresis, newborn kidney issues and associated complications in children.

Dr Gupta is a keen teacher and an honarary lecturer in prestigious Keele University which ranked high for its medical training. He is also a paediatric lead for improving care and experience of children with learning disability.

Alongside clinical practice, Dr. Gupta works closely with families to support informed decision-making and coordinated care planning. His roles across public and private healthcare settings allow him to provide comprehensive paediatric services, ensuring ongoing monitoring and appropriate referral pathways where required.
