Dr Efstathios Altanis

Dr Efstathios Altanis is a dedicated and highly respected Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for women's reproductive health. Renowned for his compassionate and reassuring approach, he is committed to delivering evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of safety, clinical excellence, and patient comfort throughout every stage of care.

With a broad range of clinical expertise, Dr Altanis serves as the Urogynaecology Lead and Clinical Audit Lead. His areas of clinical interest include the assessment and management of female urinary incontinence, offering conservative, medical, and surgical treatment options. He is also highly skilled in treating pelvic organ prolapse, managing high-risk pregnancies, providing fertility treatments, and performing minimally invasive gynaecological surgeries. Additionally, he has contributed to clinical research regarding complex obstetric cases, such as managing pregnancies in women with spinal cord injuries.

Dr Altanis completed his primary medical education in Greece, where he was awarded his medical degree, the Ptychio Iatrikes. He then undertook extensive postgraduate specialist training in the United Kingdom, achieving membership with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2008.
