About Dr Faheem Latheef
Dr Faheem Latheef is a UK trained and accredited Consultant Dermatologist based in Leeds. He has a particular interest in the subject of skin allergies, with the use of specialised tests such as cutaneous patch testing and skin prick testing but also runs one of the largest acne clinics in Leeds as well as having a research interest in melanoma skin cancers.
He holds the post of Consultant Dermatologist and Allergy specialist at the Leeds Centre for Dermatology, at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, recognised as an international centre of excellence for Cutaneous Allergy as well as conditions such as skin cancer, Acne and Rosacea. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds and is actively involved in teaching and supervision of medical students and junior doctors in training. In addition he is the Lead Consultant for one of the Leeds Community Dermatology Services where he supervises General Practitioners with a specialist interest (GPWSI) in Dermatology as well as Dermatology Nurses. He regularly sees patient with general dermatology and inflammatory skin conditions including Psoriasis, Eczema, Alopecia, nail disorders, keloid scars, excessive sweating and for mole checks and other rashes.
He has published and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in medical journals as well as chapters in prominent textbooks such as Bolognia’s Textbook of Dermatology and Kanerva’s Occupational Dermatology as well as having presented in several national and international conferences. His research interests include cutaneous allergy but also melanoma skin cancer, in which he completed his MD/PhD at the University of Leeds and he is also one of the few doctors who also holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and was previous lead clinician in the Dermatology Department in Leeds. He has also won the Best Consultant Dermatologist UK Award and Consultant of the Year UK Awards from the Global Health Partnership (GHP) and IE100 Awards three years in a row (2022-2024) as well as in 2020.
Dr Faheem Latheef grew up in Sweden and India before moving to the UK for his undergraduate medical training at the University of Manchester. After graduation, he undertook his basic medical training at the Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust rotating through various hospital specialities. His specialist training in Dermatology was completed in the Leeds training programme, where he developed his interest in allergies and skin cancer. Additionally, Dr Latheef holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with his masters thesis focusing on "Competitive Healthcare Strategies in the NHS" allowing him to get a better understanding of Healthcare Management and use of resources.

I first visited Dr Latheef in February having struggled with acne since I was a teenager. Before meeting him, I'd tried cutting out different food and drink to try and figure out what was causing my breakouts. Turns out, it was nothing to do with food and he had the perfect solution. The treatment Dr Latheef put me on has been nothing short of life changing. My self-confidence is better than ever and makes my client-facing job a breeze. I genuinely cannot thank Dr Latheef enough. He's the real deal and I implore anybody struggling with bad skin to visit him immediately - you won't regret it.
I have been under my GP for a year for a really debilitating skin condition which had been scarring me, making me ill and generally affecting my life. I didn't have a proper diagnosis but the severe flare ups every fortnight were making life as an elite sportswoman very difficult. I had deep open sores, high temperatures and ever-worsening scarring on my legs. I was so embarrassed of my skin. As soon as Dr Latheef saw my skin and listened to my history, he knew exactly what the problem was. He diagnosed me and prescribed me a treatment regime which is working and has honestly changed my life! My skin is clearing, I haven't been unwell and I no longer have the pain and swelling. Thank you so much Dr Latheef - it sounds a little dramatic but this really has changed my life!
Dr Latheef was so kind and caring when it came to my skin. I was at a loss with my skin but as soon as I met Dr Latheef I knew I would have my confidence back in no time! After suffering for years with bad skin. I went to see Dr Latheef who diagnosed me Pyoderma Faciale. I started my treatment and could see a massive difference from month one. Dr F Lateef is the Best UK Dermatologist!!! 10/10!!! & 5 STARS!!! That's No Exaggeration!!! I have had a serious skin disorder for over 3 years!! 4 GP's and 9 Dermatologists including specialists have not been able to help me... Until I received the care and attention from this doctor and life changing advice!! Because of Dr Latheef's experience and knowledge and most importantly his concern, care and medical direction to me and my GP, I have now received the thorough tests and treatments by two top hospitals in London which I should have been given over 2 years ago as people have died from the infectious disease that only now has been confirmed (by Swabs and Bloods) and that I am being treated for!..
